Cuttaway Hill Estate is cradled in the mountains of the Southern Highlands in NSW, at 700m above sea level with all grapes being grown and harvested on the family owned estate. The Seven Daughters range of Cuttaway wines is represented by our logo - a typical Southern Highlands scene. The wines are selected each vintage to offer wine lovers a true taste of the Southern Highlands in a glass. Medals 2 Silver: Canberra Regional Wineshow 2008 Kiama Wineshow 2009 2 Bronze: Australian Boutique Wine Awards 2009 NSW Small Winemakers Awards 2009 Region: Southern Highlands 100% Varieties: Merlot 100% Vineyard: Cuttaway, Allambie & Maytree Vintage: A super premium vintage with warm dry conditions which resulted in intense varietal flavours and full maturity across all varieties. Winemaking: A cool primary fermentation in stainless steel on skins for 12 days followed by full malolactic fermentation in selected medium toast French and American hogsheads for 18 months. Final blending with a light fining and filtering then sterile bottled under a screwcap finish. Seal: Screwcap Appearance: Vibrant ruby red Bouquet: Ripe blackberry and mulberry with spicy oak Palate: Supple and elegant with sweet ripe fruit a hint ofchocolate Serve with: Roasted spatchcock in a red wine jus
